About Me

My photo
I started out my career in New York City and my love of the active sports market eventually brought me to Southern California. With 10 years of experience in the active sports apparel industry, I am looking for a position that utilizes my knowledge of design, product development and/or merchandising. I have worked as a senior designer at some of the top companies in the active sports industry for over 5 years and most recently held a position as Design and Merchandising Manager for a high-end knit line. I have experience working in product development and I am very knowledgeable about domestic and international production. I have great relationships with many domestic factories and wash houses in the Los Angeles area, where I have hands on experience working to create unique novelty washes for denim and knits programs. My B.S.degree is in Merchandising and I am proficient with costing, building margins, managing design teams, creating seasonal trend forecasts and design direction, conducting sales meeting presentations and laying up catalog pages and graphics.
